Young People Autism Advisory Group (YPAAG)
The Young People Autism Advisory Group (YPAAG) is a new group set up as part of the Norfolk All Age Autism Strategy 2025–2029.
We want young autistic people across Norfolk to have a real voice in shaping the services, support, and opportunities that affect their lives.
YPAAG gives young people aged 11–18 the chance to meet regularly, share their ideas and experiences, and influence the work of the Norfolk Autism Partnership Board — the team leading autism support and strategy across the county.
What Does YPAAG Aim to Achieve?
Listen to Young Voices: Make sure that young autistic people’s views, ideas, and needs are heard and respected.
Influence Change: Help shape services, education, and support that matter most to young people.
Empower Young Leaders: Build skills, confidence, and leadership among young autistic individuals.
How Does YPAAG Work?
Meetings: We meet every two months, either in person at accessible venues across Norfolk or online.
Discussion Topics: Life, education, health, friendships, and anything else that’s important to you.
Impact: Feedback from YPAAG is shared directly with the Norfolk Autism Partnership Board.
The Board takes your ideas seriously — and will let you know how your input is making a difference!
Why Join YPAAG?
Be Heard: Your views can help improve services for autistic young people in Norfolk.
Make Friends: Meet others with shared experiences and passions.
Learn New Skills: Build communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Have Fun: Meetings are friendly, welcoming, and fully supported.
No experience is needed — just your voice and your ideas!
Who Can Join?
Autistic young people aged 11–18 living in Norfolk.
You don’t need a formal diagnosis to join — if you identify as autistic, you’re welcome.
